About Us

The John Galt Group was originally conceived to be a hedge fund in the late nineties.  Our returns have been and continue to be well above average but instead of marketing our services we chose to keep it private primarily as a lifestyle choice.  We have primarily been traders of stocks but in this current environment we have become aware of inefficiencies due to the lack of liquidity which offer favorable returns with relatively little risk.

We have already allocated a substantial portion of our wealth to these investments and are looking for ways to leverage our returns.  The simplest and most cost effective method is to borrow money from investors and share the excess returns.  It is that simple.

Bio:
I have a BA in Finance and Accounting from CU, a Masters of Taxation from DU.  I was a CPA at Ernst & Young, LLP before giving that up and starting an investment company with my brother.  I am a third generation Denverite and I am very prowd of my reputation.  I am very concerned with "what if we lost our friends money".  That guilt and shame is something neither my brother nor I could not bare!  The probability of loss with our current strategy is so remote, that is a risk I am willing to take.

Bio:
I have a BA in finance from the University of Colorado.  I have been a student of the markets since trading silver bars with my father at the age of 10.  Over the past three decades I have kept journals and clipped articles to remind me of how I FELT during major market events, because history does repeat itself!  Maybe not the exact same event, but the ways that humans react to major events all have similar underlying themes.  Learning to control emotions, evaluate situations, and then react based on the facts gives me a huge advantage.  Whether playing poker or trading stocks, controlling ones emotions and making rational decisions based on facts is the key to success.
